Civitas Institute North Carolina May 2019 Survey

In a survey conducted May 2 - 5, 2019, North Carolina voters express pessimism about the state of the natural environment. A plurality (44%) believe that the environment in North Carolina is "less clean" than it was 10 years ago, and a majority (54%) say the same about the environment nationwide.

Despite these perceived environmental problems, voters stop far short of embracing the "Green New Deal" as a solution:
